I can’t really blame Google Mail, who also thinks the State of Florida and ESPN would abide by the CAN-SPAM Act and not send people unsolicited email. After all, why would those organizations take the risk of a $10,000 penalty per instance if the FTC found out about it?

It isn’t so much that I hate spam. Spam puts food on the table and some people don’t want to stop doing what is easy for them. My reality is that Google Mail does a near perfect job of keeping spam away from my inbox. That was, until big government and a trusted sports news agency decided I like Bass Fishing.
Today is the official launch of RedReynolds.com, my new home for all my business activities. Expect frequent updates here (no, seriously) as I process this experience of going out on my own to form my own IT/IS/Web consultancy, focusing on Internet Marketing, and building web applications for business. I will also be posting a lot about what I am reading, the technology I find interesting, and the opportunities for people to leverage the web for their success.
And since I have to get used to marketing my services and talking about exactly what I do…
